A highlight of the Festival week-end is the showcasing of work from talented young artists aged 12 to 18. Click here for our Youth Art Exhibition Application.
Head upstairs to the mezzanine level of the hall to check out the impressive display of paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures, textiles and jewellery. Don’t forget to encourage your favourite artist by voting for the People’s Choice Award.
The Youth Art Prize presentations are at 3.30pm on Sunday on the Main Stage of the oval.
Our Youth Engagement Program, Saturday night silent disco (in the Darlington Station Reserve), workshops, rides and spending your cash at our many stalls will fill your weekend!
Teens are invited to hang out at the Darlington Station Reserve throughout the weekend with weed weaving and intuitive abstract painting with contemporary artist Isaac Huggins. From 3-5pm on Saturday get on the tools – stone carving with Jina Lee. From 5:30-8pm on Saturday, we’re dedicating this zone to you with local live music (check the socials for acts to be announced) and a free silent disco with tunes of your choice, if that’s your thing.
The Darlington Arts Festival Committee acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land upon which our festival is held, the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects to all Aboriginal communities and their cultures and to elders past, present and emerging.
